Merry Christmas! I painted this Santa with Baby Jesus painting several years ago, but it holds a dear place in my heart. I love Christmas! I love the decorations, the music, the gift giving, the time with loved ones and the joyful atmosphere of the season. I love the family traditions we have created and continue to partake in! But mostly, I love the fact that we are celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to this world as a human baby to become the sacrifice for humanity’s sin and bridge the gap between God and man.
In this painting, Santa kneeling before Jesus in the manger, with his bag of gifts behind him, is meant to portray this scripture: “Every knee shall bow….and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” Philippians 2: 10-11. May we all take a moment, place our packages, decorations and goodies behind us, and with humble hearts filled with worship, kneel before Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Merry Christmas!
