“This Hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.” Hebrews 6:19. This scripture has been a rock for me in times of turmoil. I am a visual person, so I love it when God’s Word gives us word pictures. I often feel that I am that boat in the midst of a violent storm, being tossed around by the waves. But I know that I have this anchor for my soul. It’s strong and trustworthy. And that anchor is HOPE in my God. I can be confident that He has me safe and secure in His loving hands.

When I see that anchor with eyes of hope, I will keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith, not on the waves and wind that want to distract and derail me. How about you? Are you feeling a bit tossed about by a storm these days? Look at that anchor instead of the waves. Hope will bring you peace in the midst of the storm.
