My family treasures our times spent with each other! Most of our days together you will find the guys outside playing frisbee golf, while the gals are inside watching a chick flick…..or doing a craft project! This past Christmas I had the privilege of hosting my family Christmas. Two of my three siblings and their families were able to make the cross country trip to spend a week together in our home! So for our girl craft time, I led my gals in an Embossed Foil Relief Wall Art project, from a blog post I wrote a few months ago. You may read my original blog post, complete with detailed instructions and examples here. 5 Easy Steps to Create Embossed Foil Relief Wall Art.
This was a great project to do during our week together, as some of the steps require drying time before proceeding to the next step. So we were able to spread this project out over several days. Here we are during the “gluing” step of this 5 step process.
In my original post, my student examples displayed a fall leaf theme. So it was fun to do this craft again with my gals. It was interesting to see how we all came up with designs that reflected our own personalities and styles. My sister, daughter and I each used a favorite Scripture verse for our designs. My daughter-in-law combined the name “Hammer” with a leaf graphic. And my sister-in-law created a Christmas art piece with classic vintage ornaments and the word “noel”. Finally, my niece did a darling sunflower design. I adore how they all turned out and am thrilled that they each have an art piece for their homes that will remind them of our special Christmas craft time together.
